In other GP news:

  • CMS announced the next round of drugs selected for Medicare Drug Price Negotiations and issued a Fact Sheet that provides more information for this round and information on the potential for “renegotiation” of those drugs previously selected.

  • In the most recent news surrounding the PHS/340B Program, Senator Bill Cassidy (R) of Louisiana and chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, has sent a letter to Apexus, requesting records related to their activities as the PHS/340B Prime Vendor. Senator Cassidy has been a vocal critic of many components of the program and in the latest Press Release announcing the letter, he said, “In light of Apexus’s role as the current 340B prime vendor, and given questions raised into its business practices, I am requesting information and data to better understand how Apexus generates its revenue and designs its commercial offerings related to the 340B program.” This program continues to be interesting!
